NEW INSIGHTS IN TYPE II INFLAMMATION IN SEVERE ASTHMA

Asthma is characterized by chronic inflammation of the airway.

Type 2 inflammation is present in 50%* of patients with severe asthma.

We will discuss the significant patient burden of disease and need for treatment options that address the actions of key inflammatory cytokines including IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13, which play a central role in contributing to the Type 2 inflammatory response.
